Ingredients (Makes 14-16 heart-shaped cookies)
1 cup 1/4 of all-purpose flour (and about 1/2 more for rolling)
2 tablespoons of Matcha green tea powder
1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1-Pre-heat your oven to 160°C.
2-Line two baking trays with parchment paper and set aside.
3-In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together, until light and fluffy.
4-Fold in all the other ingredients until just combined.
5-Form a ball with the dough and place it onto a floured surface. Roll the dough out using a rolling pin until it’s about 0,7 cm thick, then cut the dough into heart shapes (or any other shape!) using a cookie cutter. Repeat the process by re-rolling the dough and cutting out shapes until there’s no more dough.
6-Place the cookie shapes onto the pre-lined baking trays and bake for about 10 minutes, until firm and barely starting to color
7-Let the cookies cool for about 5min before placing them on a wire rack. Enjoy while still warm, dip into melted chocolate and serve with a cup of green tea!
